DESCRIPTION:Join South African saxophonist Josie McClure\, a recent prize winner of the International Woodwind Competition in Bloemfontein\, for an evocative recital featuring the unique sound of the classical saxophone. \nA graduate of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag\, Josie has made significant contributions to the promotion of South African saxophone music. She is joined by pianist Eugene Joubert in a programme that highlights her passion for new compositions and collaborations\, featuring exciting works such as Yoshimatsu’s “Fuzzy Bird Sonata” and Matitia’s “The Devil’s Rag”\, amongst others. \nThis concert promises an inspiring performance of artistry and innovation – so be sure to book your seat. \nJosie McClure (Saxophone)\, Eugene Joubert (piano)
